Definition of categories:

Government: This encompasses attendees currently employed by a government agency or public university, or serving as an in-house consultant (e.g. in lieu of a full-time employee) in a government agency. This category is determined by current employment status. Meeting the criteria in the NCUTCD Operating Procedures for “government member” does not authorize the use of this rate if the person is not currently employed by a government agency or public university.

Private Sector: This encompasses all attendees who do not qualify for the “government” or “self-employed or retiree” rate. This includes employees of consulting firms, vendors, manufacturers, railroads, associations, and other companies, firms, or organizations.

Self-Employed or Retiree: This encompasses attendees who have retired from full-time employment (either public or private) or are a sole proprietor of a business or firm. This category also includes employees or contractors working for a 501(c)(3)-eligible nonprofit with five or fewer total paid employees or contractors. If a retired / semi-retired attendee is having their registration paid for by a government agency or private sector organization (other than their sole proprietorship), they must register under government or private sector (as applicable) and are not eligible for this rate.

All attendees (other than Honorary Members) must register and pay via credit card through Cvent. NCUTCD no longer offers registration via PO or check. Payment must be made at the time of registration.

The link below will take you to a Cvent page where you complete registration. Follow the instructions. Registration requires payment by credit card. After you register, you will be sent an email confirming your registration.
